The global furniture community gathered in Kuala Lumpur as the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) 2026 celebrated outstanding creativity and craftsmanship through its prestigious awards ceremony, recognizing designers and manufacturers who are shaping the future of furniture design. Held from 4–7 March 2026 at MITEC and the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, MIFF once again proved why it remains a central hub for global furniture buyers, designers, and manufacturers. The event featured around 700 exhibitors and attracted more than 20,000 visitors from over 140 countries, reinforcing Malaysia’s reputation as a leading furniture export and design destination.

The MIFF Awards recognized companies and designers whose work represents the highest level of innovation, aesthetics, and functionality in furniture production.
- Eastern Decorator Sdn Bhd received the Platinum Furniture Excellence Award, the highest honor of the evening.
- Luxury Sleep Products Sdn Bhd was awarded the Gold Award, recognizing its outstanding craftsmanship and product innovation.
- Instyle Sofa Sdn Bhd secured the Silver Award, celebrating its contribution to modern furniture design.
Additional recognition was also given to Best-Beteck Furniture Sdn Bhd and Heshan Zonman Furniture Limited, both of which earned Judges’ Commendation Awards in their respective categories for their impressive furniture concepts and execution.
These awards reflect MIFF’s commitment to nurturing world-class design while strengthening Malaysia’s global reputation in the furniture sector.
Spotlight on Creativity and Exhibition Excellence
Beyond product design, MIFF also honored companies that delivered exceptional presentation and exhibition experiences during the fair.
- Chuanheng Furniture Products Sdn Bhd won the Best Presentation Award, praised for its creative booth design, construction quality, and engaging presentation.
- Foshan Linsy Home Co., Ltd. earned second place.
- Zhin Sheng Furniture Sdn Bhd secured third place.
Meanwhile, ELK-Desa Furniture Products Sdn Bhd received the Informa Better Stands Award, highlighting its commitment to sustainable exhibition practices.
Industry experts serving as judges emphasized that the competition showcased remarkable creativity and demonstrated how furniture design is evolving to meet modern lifestyle needs.
Empowering the Next Generation of Designers
Another highlight of MIFF 2026 was the Furniture Design Competition (FDC), which challenges young designers to create innovative solutions for real-world needs.
For the 2026 edition, designers under 40 were invited to develop children’s bedroom furniture for ages 5 to 9, blending imagination with functionality and safety. The competition encouraged participants to rethink furniture for the next generation, integrating creativity with practical design.
